Chattanooga Lookouts lose ninth in row, 2-1

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Montgomery Biscuits held on for a 2-1 Southern League baseball win over Chattanooga on Monday, sending the Lookouts to their ninth consecutive loss.

Joc Pederson’s two-out single to right field in the ninth inning scored Jon Garcia to pull Chattanooga within a run, but Brian Cavazos-Galvez flied to right to end the game.

Todd Glaesmann tripled to center and scored on a groundout in the second inning to put Montgomery up 1-0, and the Biscuits made it 2-0 in the fourth on Cameron Seltzer’s home run to right.

The Lookouts are now 14-29 for the Southern League’s second half.

The finale of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Ross Stripling (5-2, 3.34 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Enny Romero (9-6, 2.81) scheduled for the Biscuits.
