Hutton Construction Inc. adds project manager Chris Griffin

Chris Griffin has been appointed as a project manager at Hutton Construction Inc., said Bob Elliott, vice president at Hutton Construction.

Griffin is the seventh project manager currently employed by Hutton.

He recently moved from Evans, Ga., where he was employed by GCS Consulting as a project manager and estimator. He previously served in the same capacity for Apex General Contracting in Augusta, Ga., and for GM Northrup Construction in Prior Lake, Minn.

He has experience with such retailers as Walmart, Sam's Club, Yum Corp., Dollar Tree, Regis, Dollar General Stores, O'Reilly Automotive, Sports Authority and Old Navy.


Riverstone Residential Group names Shelley James

Riverstone Residential Group, one of the largest privately owned, third-party multifamily property management companies in the United States, has added Shelley James to the vice president of operations position.

In her new role, James will assume responsibility for leading Riverstone's portfolio operations in South Carolina and Tennessee.

James, who has been working in the property management industry since 1989, holds extensive experience with both the owner and fee-managed aspects of the business, and in areas including new construction, lease ups, acquisitions, renovation projects, and mixed-use developments. She also has experience in marketing and human resources.


Allstate appoints Cynthia Whitfield

Cynthia Whitfield has been promoted to field senior vice president in Allstate's Insurance Co. Southern Region headquarters in Tennessee.

Whitfield's Allstate career began in 1981 as a claims adjuster trainee in New Jersey. She's held leadership roles across the country in operations, accounting, finance, risk management and product. She joined Allstate's Southern Region in December 2009 as the field vice president.

"I am truly honored to have the opportunity to lead a winning team," said Whitfield.

In her new role, she'll continue to be based in Nashville, but will be responsible for sales and customer service in the states of Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
