Fake salesman assaults Gordon County woman

Gordon County, Ga., police are searching for a man who gained entry to a woman’s home and assaulted her by pretending to be a door-to-door salesman Friday morning.

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office news release, at 10:15 a.m. Friday morning, deputies were sent to a Buck Boulevard home in response to an assault call. A white man with brown hair, wearing a navy shirt, allegedly used a salesman disguise to get into a female resident’s home and then assaulted her.

The suspect reportedly fled on foot, and Gordon County air and K-9 units searched the area Friday afternoon.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts should call the Gordon County Sheriff’s Detective Division at 706-629-1244.
