Two people are wanted after a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent was nearly run over while making a traffic stop today.
Howard Montgomery Calloway, 38, and April Michelle Gammill, 34, both fled from a vehicle about a mile and half down the road after they were stopped by the agent.
The agent stopped the vehicle just before noon at the intersection of Harrison Pike and Bancroft Road in order to serve an active warrant. The vehicle nearly hit the agent before continuing on Harrison Pike.
The agent fired at the vehicle and chased after the suspects.
A section of Harrison Pike was closed during the incident and reopened before 3 p.m.
Editor's note: a previous version of this story stated that Calloway and Gammill were in custody. That has not been verified.
