The Bradley County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of fugitive Howard Callaway just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Callaway had been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "most wanted" list merely hours before.

The U.S. Marshals Service took Callaway into custody, with the help of the Bradley County Sheriff's Department, near the 100 block of White Oak Roadt.

Callaway was wanted on 32 counts of aggravated burglary, aggravated evading arrest and violating his federal probation while on supervised release.

TBI agents had attempted to take Callaway into custody Monday at the intersection of Bancroft Road and Harrison Pike when he fled and attempted to run over an agent with his vehicle, forcing the agent to fire his weapon at Callaway.

The TBI agent was not injured, and Callaway and his passenger fled into the woods on foot.

Callaway's passenger, identified as April Michelle Gammil, 34, of Cleveland, Tenn., was captured by law enforcement Tuesday morning.
