Uptown Art, a do-it-yourself painting studio at 2 Cherokee Blvd., Suite 100, will debut a new session at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 22. Taco Thursday will offer a chance to emulate this "Funky Martini" work while enjoying a taco bar catered by Taco Mamacita.
The two- to three-hour class costs $45, which includes a 16x20 canvas, painting materials and the meal (a 20x24 canvas is available for a $10 upcharge).
Bring your beverage of choice (alcoholic or nonalcoholic). Smocks, cups and wine openers are available.
Doors open 45 minutes in advance for registration and seating.
All night classes, which also include Wine Nights and Spirit Wednesdays for college football fans, are open to ages 12 and older.
