Life Care Centers of America recently appointed Christi Card as its new senior vice president of clinical services.

The announcement was made by Bart Walker, Life Care's senior vice president of operations.

"In the discussions I have shared with Christi over the past few weeks, it is obvious she has a passion for patient care and many ideas to help enhance the services we provide to them," Walker said.

"Christi's enthusiasm is contagious, and the positive interaction she has with others is undeniable."

Card comes to Life Care from UHS-Pruitt Corp. in Norcross, Ga., where she served for more than 17 years in various leadership positions, including most recently chief clinical officer and, before that, corporate compliance officer.


Rone Regency adds Michael A. Foxx

Rone Regency has added Michael A. Foxx as a new team member.

He has more than 35 years' experience in the jewelry industry and has held positions as the senior director of retail stores for Zale Corp. and director of jewelry operations for Sears Holdings Corp.

Most recently he managed a Sterling property in Texas. He has been directly responsible for operations and sales management of up to 78 stores and directly responsible for up to 13 district managers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Foxx will join a vibrant team full of seasoned experts in the industry. The team has a combined total of more than 211 years of experiences in the jewelry industry.


Trimble Insurance sees another generation

Arch Trimble IV is joining his father, Arch Trimble III, in a new insurance business -- Trimble Insurance LLC.

Arch Trimble Insurance Inc. was started in 1960. Arch Trimble IV said he has grown up around the insurance business and seen first-hand the hard work the family has put into making sure customers' needs are met and attended to on a daily basis.

"My great-granddad, granddad, and dad have been great examples of how to run a business and provide quality services; they have set the bar very high, and I look forward to trying to follow in their footsteps," he said. Arch Trimble III said the family "is glad to be back doing what we love, and I am happy to welcome my son to the team."


Hutton Construction promotes Lewis

Drew Lewis has been promoted to senior estimator at Hutton Construction, said company Vice President Bob Elliott.

Lewis, a Middle Tennessee State University graduate, has worked as a treasury analyst for a national trucking company and in multiple capacities for a national retail general contractor, assisting in large, multitenant retail venues.

He joined Hutton Construction in September 2010 as a staff-level estimator. "Drew has become a trusted and valued asset within the entire Hutton Company umbrella," Elliott said.


Urban League offers surety bonding workshop

The Urban League Entrepreneurship Center will hold a free surety bonding workshop on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Urban League Office at 730 East M. L. King Blvd. in Chattanooga.

The center is partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Chattanooga's Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Tennessee Governor's Office of Diversity Business Enterprise.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide information to construction contractors and other business owners who periodically have to meet surety bonding requirements in order to participate on larger- size jobs.

"Today many small and minority contractors and business owners are challenged with securing surety bonds for a variety of reasons," said Warren E. Logan Jr., CEO of the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.


Answer Financial earns award

Answer Financial Inc.'s agency insurance answer center has earned the Safeco Insurance President's Award, an honor given annually to a group of the company's top-performing independent agent partners.

The award recognizes Answer's success with Safeco and is based on the prior year's performance, including business growth.

"We are proud to earn this honor from Safeco," said Rob Slingerland, CEO of Answer.


Reyes named at Chattanoogan hotel

The Chattanoogan hotel has appointed Chad Reyes as the hotel's director of rooms.

The Chattanooga native is responsible for overseeing the operation and staff of the upscale hotel's front office, valet, conference services and housekeeping departments.

"It is a pleasure to appoint Chad to this new position at The Chattanoogan," said Tom Cupo, regional managing director for The Chattanoogan.


CapitalMark picks marketing director

Chattanooga native Kelly Spencer was promoted to director of marketing and communications for CapitalMark Bank & Trust.

In this role, she will develop and execute marketing and advertising strategies and internal and external communications, including public relations.

Spencer joined CapitalMark in February 2011 assisting in marketing, communications and investor relations. Her previous work experience includes an internship at the New York Observer handling marketing, advertising sales and event planning support for the news publication.

"I am honored and excited to be a part of a visionary team," she said.


InfoSystems hires Davis as sales director

InfoSystems has hired Scott Davis, formerly of IBM, as its new director of sales.

Davis will spend part of his time expanding and building on InfoSystems' relationships with current and new enterprise-level clients while providing new focus and direction for the small and midsize sales team.

"With his experience, proven track record and dedication to fostering relationships with clients, Scott is the smart choice to lead our company and sales team to the next level," said Clay Hales, CEO of InfoSystems.

Davis brings 29 years of technology industry experience to InfoSystems, most recently serving with IBM as a client solution executive.
