Donated computers help seniors connect

St. Barnabas received two laptop computers, designated for resident use, through the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Computers Program. The laptops are an important part of an expanding program, helping meet the technology needs and expectations of a growing senior population.

At St. Barnabas, the word is out about the new acquisitions, and residents are already signing up for individual use sessions. Residents, ranging in age from almost 50 to 100, have a variety of interests. They will use the computers to explore these interests and to connect with others, such as through our Skype sessions.

The computers were a much appreciated gift and one that will continue to benefit our residents.
