photo Ten-hut! Listen up, comrades. Collectors looking for military paraphernalia can find merchandise ranging from clothing to vehicles at the Tri-State Military Club's fourth annual show and swap meet Friday and Saturday at Camp Jordan.

Camp Jordan, 300 Camp Jordan Parkway in East Ridge, has its fair share of happenings, but this weekend offers more than the usual.

Depending on the day -- Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday, Aug. 30-Sept. 2 -- visitors will find military vehicles, Ultimate Frisbee players, gun and knife collectors and greyhounds.

• Military Vehicle Show: The Tri-State Military Club will present its fourth annual show and swap meet Friday and Saturday in the RV Park. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. both days.

Spokesman Buddy Mumpower says 12 to 15 members of the club will be taking part, along with a similar number of vendors. They welcome "anything military," from vehicles to clothing, to buy, sell or trade. Admission is free.

• Shawn Adams Memorial Spirit of the Game Ultimate Tournament: Now in its 20th year, this Labor Day weekend tradition is named for a Chattanooga player who was killed by a bolt of lightning while playing Ultimate Frisbee in Nashville on April 10, 1994. His teammates say Adams was "the heart and soul of Chattanooga Ultimate."

Several hundred competitors from several states will comprise eight women's teams, 10 mixed teams and 20 open teams. Rounds begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the fields around Camp Jordan.

• RK Gun Show: This semiannual event inside the arena offers collectors a chance to buy, sell or trade guns and knives. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. An admission fee will be charged. For more information, visit rkshows.com.

• Greyhound field trials: The Greyhound Association of North Georgia will present Region 7 AFSA all-breed field trials Saturday through Monday near the RV Park. In addition to greyhounds, eligible breeds include Afghan hounds, Irish wolfhounds, Rhodesian ridgebacks and a dozen others recognized by the American Sighthound Field Association.

"Hounds will run twice over a course plan and be judged in five categories," says GANG vice president and field trial secretary Katie Kaltenborn.

Rather than live game, they follow a plastic bag, according to the AFSA website. Speed, agility and endurance are the most heavily weighted categories, Kaltenborn says, followed by follow and enthusiasm.

Spectator admission is free. Fees are charged for anyone who wants to practice or enter a dog.
