FSG Bank adds Strickland

FSG Bank has added Darren Strickland as an assistant vice president and mortgage loan officer.

He brings over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

"To say Darren has a wealth of knowledge and is well respected in the real estate industry is an understatement," said Jill Green, senior vice president of FSG's mortgage division. "He is a recognized leader in the Chattanooga mortgage industry, having helped thousands of new and existing homebuyers."

For the past four years, Strickland was the mortgage sales manager for Synovus Mortgage Corp. and prior to that, one of the top mortgage originators for Regions Bank. He's a past president of the Chattanooga Mortgage Bankers Association and was named Mortgage Banker of the Year in 2006.

Strickland is a Chattanooga native. He is located in the bank's downtown branch at 531 Broad St.


United cites Armstrong Relocation

Armstrong Relocation in Chattanooga, an agent of United Van Lines, has been honored by the worldwide transportation company for exceptional professional achievement.

Announcement of the recognition, conferred as part of Van Line's annual awards program, was made by United CEO Richard H. McClure during United's 2013 Convention, held in Boca Raton, Fla., with more than 500 United representatives in attendance.

Armstrong Relocation received the President's Club Award at the $2 million level --honoring agents who have generated at least $1 million in sales for the United system during the past year.


Mountz, Youngberg picked for board

The Tennessee Health Care Association has named Rick Mountz, regional director of operations for Grace Healthcare and Carla Youngberg, executive director of Life Care Center of Collegedale, to its board of directors for 2014.

Mountz and Youngberg will serve as leaders and policymakers for the association as it provides education, advocacy and leadership for Tennessee's long-term care facilities.

"I am excited to have Rick and Carla on the board of directors this year," THCA Executive Director Jesse Samples said. "Their leadership and passion for care will help our members as they strive to offer quality services in the changing landscape of the long-term care profession."

Mountz lives in McDonald, Tenn., and has been a member of THCA for more than 30 years. Youngberg is a resident of Ooltewah and has been a member of THCA for 23 years.

THCA is a nonprofit organization whose members include long-term care facilities located throughout the state.


Siskin Hospital wins PRISM awards

Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation was recently honored at the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations' Annual PRISM Awards Competition.

Siskin Hospital received a high-honor PRISM Award in the Overall Advertising Campaign Category for the "Because of Siskin Hospital, I CAN..." campaign.

It also received another high-honor PRISM Award for the "Because of Siskin Hospital, I CAN..." billboards in the Billboard Campaign Category.

Additionally, Siskin Hospital's newly designed website, www.SiskinRehab.org, received a high-honor PRISM Award in the Website Category.

The "Because of Siskin Hospital, I CAN..." campaign features Siskin Hospital patients who have remarkable recovery stories of hope to share.

"I am extremely proud of our marketing department and all of the exceptional work that was completed in-house," Robert P. Main, CEO of Siskin Hospital, said.

Hospitals and health care systems across Tennessee entered the competition.

The Society is the largest organization for health care communications in the state.


Hutton Construction hires Stoker

Hutton Construction has hired Brian Stoker as the new director of construction, said Bob Elliott, the company's executive vice president of development and construction.

Stoker has a degree in business from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and 20 years of experience in the construction industry as a project manager and director of construction for a large, national retail, general contractor.

He has managed multiple projects, including Belk Department Stores, Southhaven Towne Center, The Pavilion at Port Orange, Fla., and Dick's Sporting Goods.

"Brian brings a great deal of experience to Hutton," said Elliott. "His technical competency combined with his managerial experience will make him an instant success for Hutton and for our clients."
