A dozen local residents have been indicted by a federal grand jury in an alleged crack-cocaine conspiracy that ran from at least January 2012 through May 2013.

If convicted on the charges, all of the defendants face a 10 year minimum sentence, according to a U.S. Attorney's Office press release. Four of those listed face a 20-year maximum sentence.

Seven of the 12 made their initial court appearances Tuesday.
