Early Thursday morning, 32 vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana weighing a total of 37 pounds were confiscated by police in Tunnel Hill, Ga.

According to a department news release, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a white SUV with Arizona tags around 7 a.m.

The officer smelled "an odor of raw marijuana emitting from the vehicle," the release stated. The SUV's operator, Shawn Miller, said he was going home to St. Petersburg, Fla., from Indiana.

The officer called for a drug dog, which responded positively on the vehicle. Police pulled a duffle bag from the vehicle and found the 32 bags of marijuana inside.

According to police, Miller actually had picked up the duffle bag of marijuana in California. Police estimate the drugs' street worth at around $100,000. Miller was charged with following too closely and trafficking marijuana.

Officers from Varnell, Ga., assisted in the stop.
