Natalie Brewer joins HHM

Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC, a local accounting firm that has provided accounting, tax planning, management consulting and specialized services since 1981, announces that Natalie Brewer has joined HHM as its human resources director/executive assistant to the managing member.

Brewer will be responsible for driving human resource initiatives in support of HHM's business plan and objectives. She will also assist with employee benefits, maintain a policy and procedure manual and coordinate employee relations training and events.

"Natalie has broad experience in organizational planning, development, streamlining processes and team building," said Donnie Hutcherson, HHM managing member. "As HHM expands, we appreciate her proactive and innovative HR skills."

Previous to HHM, Brewer served as the office manager of the information technology operations department at Lee University.


Company Lab names Tia Capps

The Company Lab has chosen Tia Capps as the organization's first-ever communications director.

In this new role, Capps will be responsible for managing press relations, establishing community outreach programs, and promoting Co.Lab, Co.Starters, Gig Tank and the Gig City to local and national audience among a number of other duties.

As the former writer and communications coordinator for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Capps brings an extensive background in strategic communications to her new position as well as a strong working knowledge of Chattanooga's economic and entrepreneurial assets.

While at the Chattanooga Chamber, she served as the managing editor of Business Trend magazine, the script writer for Taking Care of Business - the organization's public affairs TV program - and a resource to both the local media and key Chamber constituencies.

"We are thrilled to have Tia on Co.Lab's team," said Mike Bradshaw, its executive director.


Fletcher appointed at Kenco

Kenco, a provider of integrated logistics solutions, real estate services, and material handling equipment, has announced the appointment of Kevin S. Fletcher to the position of senior vice president of Kenco Transportation Services.

In addition to his transportation-leadership responsibilities, Fletcher will focus on account management, business development and strategic planning.

"Kevin's expertise encompasses each aspect of our current transportation solution-brokerage, transportation management, and asset-based fleet operations," said David Caines, president of Kenco Transportation Services.

Fletcher brings nearly 30 years of experience to Kenco, including management positions at carrier, shipper and third party logistics companies. He was most recently with Landstar, where he was executive vice president of logistics services.


Fulgham hired at Southside Creative Group

Southside Creative Group has hired Kathie Fulgham as its public relations director.

Fulgham will be responsible for public relations and media relations initiatives as well as technical writing in support of Southside Creative Group's business plan and objectives for its regional clients.

"Kathie has extensive experience in generating creative strategies, events and writing that have garnered regional, national and even international attention," said Ronelle Sellers, managing partner for Southside Creative Group. "We very much look forward to her creative interchanges with our clients that will help them reach the full depth of their marketing potential."

Prior to joining Southside Creative, Fulgham served as projects manager to former Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield and as communications manager for the Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX 3D Theater.


Godfrey picked at Fifth Third Bank

Fifth Third Bank City Executive for Knoxville, Jonathan Godfrey, has added commercial relationship manager to his resume.

Godfrey will focus on middle market clients throughout the East Tennessee market.

"Our focus on Knoxville and the entire East Tennessee region remains strong," said Renee Drake, Tennessee Commercial and IA Executive. "With the opening of a commercial loan production office in Chattanooga earlier this year and Jonathan's new role, we will continue to build our presence throughout the region."

Godfrey joined Fifth Third in November 2008.


Hutton Co. adds employees

Hutton Co. has added several new employees to its development and construction teams, said Bob Elliott, executive vice president of development and construction.

"These new hires bring a great deal of experience to Hutton," he said.

Hutton has hired Ed Allen, originally from Memphis, as its director of development. During his 17 years of experience, he has led programs for Kohl's and Home Depot.

Tim Mitch is Hutton's newest development project manager. He has 12 years of experience in development and construction.

Art Thompson has been hired as a senior estimator. He was the primary estimator for the 1 million-square-foot Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Adding depth to the Hutton Construction estimating team are two assistant estimators, Sam Sussen, new to Hutton, and Scott Turk, who was recently promoted to assistant estimator.

Bryan Jones has been hired as a project manager. Jones has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry as a facilities project manager, a project engineer and as an estimator, including a part of a management team that developed the 68,000-square-foot Infinity Science Center at NASA Space Center in Pearlington, Miss.
