• Carson-Newman's "Voice of the Eagles" Adam Cavalier won the 2013 Stretch Internet "Call of the Year" for a game-winning 3-point basketball shot by Ish Sanders from Cleveland High School, and Cavalier has another nominated call for 2013-14 involving a Chattanooga-area CNU athlete. Cavalier's description of an under-the-net volleyball save by Rachel Harper from Boyd-Buchanan is one of the fall sports candidates, along with a football touchdown catch called by Michael Wottreng from the Eagle Sports Network. Fans can vote once a day on the web-streaming company's Facebook page, and the top vote-getter as of Jan. 15 will go into the seasonlong competition.
