Tennessee's unemployment rate in November was 8.1 percent, four-tenths of a percent below October's revised rate, according to Tennessee Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips.
The national jobless rate for November was seven percent.
Phillips said the rate change from October to November was the largest monthly drop since April 2010.
