The Van Lears play hometown Christmas show - Dec. 21

The Van Lears will present their inaugural Dana Michelle Patterson Toys for Tickets Memorial Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Gem Theatre, 114 N. Wall St., in Calhoun, Ga. The harmonies of the Calhoun-based brothers — Andrew Bentley, left, and Trey Bentley — are based on the sound of The Everly Brothers, their favorite sibling duo. They’ve been described as the “next coming of The Eagles” by Eddie Owen of the famed Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, Ga. Tickets were available earlier this week in exchange for toy donations to the Voluntary Action Center. For more information, call 706-625-3132 or visit www.calhoungem.org.
