Family thankful for mall event

I plan special events at Hamilton Place, however, on Saturday, Dec. 7, an event occurred without my knowledge, and it made a huge impact on my family.

Antonio McMath and the Z Zumba Crew along with Catharine Wells from Hamilton Place secretly planned a fundraiser Zumbathon/fashion show to benefit my family. When it was announced that we were the reason for this event, my family was shocked, amazed and speechless.

My husband, Don Hoff, has stage IV kidney cancer, and the last four months have been extremely rough. He has had surgery to install a steel rod in his femur, radiation to his pelvis and two separate week-long stays at Vanderbilt Hospital.

From the first moment I met Antonio, he has been giving back to others. Not too many people come along in your life who are so giving, loving and generous of themselves and their time.

Antonio and his family are now part of the Hoff Family, and we will never forget his generosity!
