Bright School students enjoyed a snow day in a big way Friday to celebrate the school's 100th day of its centennial year.

Students at the private elementary school were surprised to find 13 cubic tons of snow on campus. Administrators had hinted at a surprise with a large countdown sign on the front yard of the school.

Headmaster O.J. Morgan declared the snow day during an assembly. Students raced outside to jump in, pile on and chill out.

To mark its 100th anniversary, the school has planned a number of events and activities for parents, students, faculty and alumni.
