Chancellor Thomas R. Frierson will be sworn in as a judge for the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Eastern Section, at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Gov. Bill Haslam picked Frierson as the newest member of the Tennessee Court of Appeals last week, according to a press release.
Frierson replaces Judge Herschel P. Franks, of Chattanooga. Franks retired at the end of December.
