Woman killed in Georgia house fire

FLOVILLA, Ga. — State fire investigators say a woman has died in a house fire in Flovilla — about 35 miles northwest of Macon.

Glen Allen, spokesman for the Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, says the fire was reported around 3 p.m. Friday.

Officials found 51-year-old Bonnie T. Hamby dead inside the house.

The cause of the fire is unclear and the blaze is under investigation. Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens and fire investigators were on the scene Friday evening.
