Amateur radio class registering

Are you ready for the next disaster or emergency?

Amateur radio provides communication to receive help when power is out and all else fails -- even cellphones.

Sign up for the next amateur radio class, sponsored by the Greater Collegedale Amateur Radio Club, which will begin Tuesday, Feb. 26. It will be taught by Dean Saunders.

The class will meet at 7 p.m. for six Tuesdays at the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5440 McDonald Road, McDonald, Tenn. There will be a small charge for registration and textbook.

For registration or information, email Jim Hoffer at kw8tjim@catt.com or call 706-965-2425.
