Dewart leads Lady Mocs past Cougars

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team got 24 points and 13 rebounds from Ashlen Dewart and beat the College of Charleston 73-58 today at TD Arena.

The Lady Mocs have won 12 straight games and remain atop the Southern Conference standings with four games remaining. Up next is Monday's game at Georgia Southern.

Dewart sat out nearly all of the first half due to foul trouble and the game was tied at 39 at the break. She scored UTC's first 10 points of the second half and also helped the Lady Mocs finish with a 53-36 rebounding advantage.

Faith Dupree replaced Dewart at center in the first half and scored 13 points in 12 minutes. Taylor Hall, who also had foul trouble, finished with 10 points and six rebounds.
