Gordon Lee and Gilmer County win titles in GHSA Traditional Wrestling Championships

MACON, Ga. - Gordon Lee and Gilmer County added to their wrestling hardware Saturday with team titles at the GHSA Traditional Wrestling Championships.

Trojans won the Class A team title with 187 points, including individual titles for Johnny Ragsdale (113 pounds), Alex Spires (138) and Will Jacks (145) to easily out-distance rival Holy Innocents by 16 points. Gordon Lee also had four individual runners-up.

Gilmer County used the individual titles of Cameron Perry (126) and Johnie Flakes (138) to amass 182.5 points to easily win the Class AAAA title, the 11th in coach Sam Snider's career.

Also winning area individual titles were Southeast Whitfield's Carlos Fraire at 220 pounds in Class AAAA and Chattooga's J.J. Blankenship at 126 pounds in Class AA.
