BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. - Hunters say they found a human skull in a wooded area near an Interstate 65 bridge in Baldwin County.

WKRG-TV reports that Anthony Nelson and his friends made the discovery Saturday afternoon while they were on a hog hunting trip. They found the skull near the General WK Wilson Bridge, more commonly referred to as the Dolly Parton Bridge.

The skull appears to have a bullet hole in the forehead, according to the WRKG report.

Investigators say they recovered more than just the skull at the location.

Baldwin County Sheriff's officials tell the station that the bones appear to be real. They have been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.

Alabama Marine Police and the coroner's office also assisted in the investigation.
