The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga softball team got untracked Saturday with two victories in the Auburn University Tiger Invitational tournament, 9-2 over Indiana State and 9-1 in five innings against winless Tennessee State.

After making five errors in Friday night's loss to Kansas, the Lady Mocs (3-5) made only one in Saturday's two games. They face host Auburn this afternoon.

Freshman Kaisey Carson pitched a complete-game four-hitter against Indiana State (5-4), when Kasey Tydingco was 4-for-4 with three RBIs and leadoff batter Sara Poteat drove in two runs and scored two. Tyler Templet, Anyssa Robles and Sarah Beth Roberts each had a hit and an RBI for UTC.

The Lady Mocs scored five runs in the sixth inning with two-run singles by Poteat and Tydingco. They scored six in the bottom of the first against TSU (0-6), which scored its run in the top of the inning on a strikeout-throwout after two walks and a wild pitch.

Rachel Albritton and Taylor Deason combined on a one-hitter with four strikeouts and four walks by Albritton in her five outs and Deason adding nine strikeouts. Roberts was 2-for-3 with two RBIS, Templet was 2-for-2 with an RBI, Poteat was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs and Stephanie Rieck was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

• Bryan 9-8, 1-0: At Dayton, the Lady Lions evened their record at 4-4 with Shanna Chappell pitching a five-inning six-hitter and Sarah Hundley adding a five-inning two-hitter with eight strikeouts.

Katelyn Bowen tripled in each game for Bryan. She was 1-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs in the first and added another two RBIs in the rematch, when Taylor Yates was 3-for-3 with a triple, a double, two RBIs and two runs, Kirstie Jennings and Jill Davis each was 2-for-3 and scored twice and Heather Daniel was 2-for-2 after a 2-for-3 opener.

Also in game one, Jennings was 3-for-3 with two runs and Alexsa Valdes was 2-for-4.
