Six in Alabama face drug charges

The Jackson County, Ala., Sheriff's Office arrested six people in three separate drugs busts this weekend.

On Friday, officers arrested Tyler Scott Muir, 19, of Stevenson, Ala.; James Jeremy Owens, 30, of Stevenson; and Stephanie Ann Ladd, 38, of Scottsboro, Ala. Officers made the arrest, according to a release, after receiving a tip of suspicion activity in the Shadow Bluff Apartments complex. The officers found items used to manufacture methamphetamine in a car in the parking lot and prescription drugs in an apartment.

All three were charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Ladd was charged with illegal possession of prescription medications.

Also on Friday, officers arrested two men after getting a tip of suspicious activity in the parking lot of a business on Highway 71 in Higdon, Ala. Jimmy Wyane McArson, 55, of Flat Rock, Ala., was charged with illegal possession of prescription medication. Johnny Lester Ferguson, 37, of Flat Rock, was charged with possession of marijuana.

On Sunday, 20-year-old Joshua Tyler White, of Henagar, Ala., was charged with possession of marijuana and drug possession.
