Jackson County Sheriff's Office seizes prescription drugs at Stevenson, Ala., house

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit seized a number of prescription drugs from a Stevenson, Ala., home on Wednesday, according to a news release.

Working with the Stevenson Police Department, officers searched the residence on Steamplant Road and found hydrocodone, lyrica, prescription medication and other drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested Matthew Cobb and Constance Walters in connection with the investigation.

Cobb, 29, was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substances. Walters, 25, was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription medications. Both are still in custody.

Officers contacted the Department of Human Resources to care for a child who was present at the residence, the release stated.
