Trion, Ga., man wins $1 million in Georgia Lottery instant game

A Chattooga County, Ga., man has won the top prize of $1 million in the Georgia Lottery's Monopoly Millionaire instant game, a news release states.

Robert Dalton, 45, of Trion, scratched the winning ticket in the parking lot of the store where he bought it, Trion Food Mart at 11 Ridgeway Drive.

"It feels really good," Dalton said, adding he intends to invest the money.

The Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14 billion to the state for education. All lottery go to specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program.
