CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Lee University in Cleveland wants to start a four-year nursing program.

Lee President Paul Conn said Thursday there are a lot of steps to take toward making the program a reality.

The Cleveland Daily Banner reported Lee hopes to have the program available for students in the fall of 2014.

Lee Chief Academic Officer Dr. Carolyn Dirksen has begun a national search for a director of nursing, who will be hired within the next few months.

Lee has grown to become one of the largest Christian private schools in Tennessee and the largest in the Appalachian College Association.
