A 21-0 run midway through the first half helped the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team build a 30-point halftime lead against Western Carolina today at McKenzie Arena. By the time the game ended, the Lady Mocs had enjoyed an 81-39 rout.
UTC (24-3, 17-1 Southern Conference) stretched its overall win streak to 14 games and has now won 25 in a row at the Roundhouse. Kayla Christopher led all scorers with 15 points, Meghan Downes added 13 and Ashlen Dewart finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, snapping her double-double streak at three games.
The Lady Mocs can clinch the SoCon regular-season title outright Monday against second-place Davidson.
