Whitwell defeated Van Buren County 60-47 in a Region 3-A girls' high school basketball semifinal Monday at Sale Creek. The Lady Tigers will play Silverdale Baptist Academy on Wednesday at Sale Creek for the championship at 7 p.m. EST. Both teams will move on to state sectionals on Saturday.
