Kelsey Kilgore and Alyssa Coppinger combined for nine 3-point goals and 45 points Wednesday and Whitwell defeated Silverdale Baptist Academy 65-41 in the final of the Region 3-A girls' basketball tournament at Sale Creek. Both teams will play in state sectionals Saturday with Whitwell playing at home.
