The Howard basketball team went defensive over an eight-minute span and went on to defeat Brainerd 63-49 Friday at Howard. The Hustlin' Tigers went on a 10-0 run between the third and fourth quarters and were able to cruise to the win.

Shailique Cameron finished with 18 points for Howard, while Brandon Walters has a huge double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds.

Orlando Moore finished with 12 points to lead Brainerd.
