A Summerville, Ga., man was killed in a head-on collision on U.S. 27 in Walker County Friday afternoon.
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said 30-year-old Aaron Dooley was traveling north and crossed the center turn lane, hitting a southbound Scion.
The impact spun the Scion so that it was facing north in the southbound lane, and it then was hit by another vehicle.
Dooley died as a result of his injuries, and four other people were taken to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries, Wright said.
Troopers don’t know why Dooley crossed the center lane. An investigation is continuing, Wright said.
