A fire destroyed a home in the Soddy-Daisy area this morning.
A neighbor reported the fire at 1139 Old Thatcher Road and firefighters arrived within five minutes, according to a news release.
Homeowner Wayne Snyder told officials that the renter had been evicted a few weeks ago, the release stated.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Damages to the house are valued at $125,000.
