24-year-old woman charged in homicide of Chattanooga man

Chattanooga Police investigators have charged a 24-year-old woman in connection with the shooting death Thursday morning of a Chattanooga man, authorities said.

Carmisha Lay, arrested Thursday night, faces charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, especially aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, and false reports, a news release stated.

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Edward Glenn, who was shot and killed at 2500 O'Rear St.

Homicide detectives determined that Glenn was set up to be robbed when the shooting occurred, according to the news release.

The investigation is ongoing.
