MACON, Ga. - Gordon Lee and Gilmer County captured GHSA State Wrestling Duals championships Saturday, the Trojans downing rival Holy Innocents and the Bobcats easily dispatching Alexander.
Gordon Lee was a 33-30 winner in Class A over the team it shared co-champion honors with a year ago. The Trojans built an 18-3 lead and cliched the title on Shane Farmer's pin at 182 pounds. It is the first non-shared duals championship in program history.
Gilmer, on the other hand, captured its fourth consecutive dual title with a 45-14 win in Class AAAA. Sam Snider's Bobcats had five pins in the match.
