St. Peter's Episcopal School hosts expert for 2 free lectures

Friday, January 1, 1904

Dr. Dennis Denenberg, an award-winning author, educator and speaker, will present two free public lectures on Wednesday at St. Peter's Episcopal School.

A leader in Core Knowledge curriculum, Denenberg is a regular speaker at national conferences, according to St. Peter's schools officials who are bringing Denenberg to Chattanooga.

"His fun, authentic and actionable ideas on using heroes to teach have inspired countless teachers and parents," a news release from the school states.

Denenberg said children need to see that they can achieve and succeed.

"Just like real heroes, they can make mistakes, learn from them, keep striving and eventually succeed," he said.

There are two sessions from which to choose. Both will have the same content, school officials said.

The first will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m., and the second will be from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m.

St Peter's Episcopal School is at 848 Ashland Terrace.
