Lady Mocs beat Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team moved into first place in the Southern Conference tonight with a 60-56 win at Davidson, which came into the game undefeated in league play.

UTC withstood a late Wildcats rally, and a Lady Mocs scoring drought. Davidson (8-8, 5-1 SoCon) cut UTC's lead to 55-54 with 1:38 left, but the Lady Mocs (13-3, 6-1) held on for the win.

UTC closed the first half on an 11-0 run, capped by a Taylor Hall 3-pointer that put the Lady Mocs up 35-27 at the break.

Center Faith Dupree returned to the court tonight after missing two months with a knee injury. After coming in off the bench early in the game, she needed less than two minutes to score 8 points. Dupree finished with 11 points in 14 minutes of action.

Kylie Lambert and Kayla Christopher led UTC with 12 points and Alex Black added 11 and six rebounds.
