The Hamilton County Republican Party on Saturday elected Tony Sanders to a two-year term as chairman.
A financial risk consultant for Unum and a WGOW-FM talk show host, Sanders was elected by a unanimous voice vote Saturday at the local GOP’s biennial reorganization convention at Hixson Middle School.
Sanders replaces Marty Von Schaaf, a Marshall Mize Ford sales consultant who decided against a second term.
Other new officers are Vice Chairwoman Paulina Madaris, Treasurer George Jackson and Secretary Teresa Wood.
All were elected without floor challenges.
