The Fourth of July Parade planned for Thursday morning by the Signal Mountain Business Association has been canceled and the Independence Day fireworks has been postponed until Saturday evening.

The cancellation of the parade is because of the threat of bad weather, a news release said.

The release also noted that the Signal Mountain Lions Club is shifting its scheduled fireworks program to Saturday at dusk.

The Lions Club’s barbecue, however, will still be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Althaus Park.
