Signal Mountain fireworks show postponed until Sept. 1

The fireworks show planned for Signal Mountain, originally set for July 4 but then postponed until Saturday night, has now been postponed again.

The new date is Sept. 1 at dusk. That is Labor Day weekend, it was noted.

A parade set for Thursday as part of the July 4th observance was canceled because of the weather. The Signal Mountain Lions barbecue, however, took place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
