Chattanooga: Red Cross preparing relief supplies

The American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee will be loading relief supplies at its office at 801 McCallie Ave. to help those who live in flood-prone areas - if needed.

"We learned at 2 a.m. this morning that the waters would quickly impact a community of 30 families and we want to be prepared in case that happens over the next couple of days at any hour," said Greg Waite, CEO, American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee, in a news release. "Ensuring folks have essential supplies on hand to begin immediate clean-up can help them eliminate any risk of mold, minimize damage and more."
