The Los Angeles duo of Suzanne Santo (vocals, banjo, violin), left, and Ben Jaffe (vocals, guitar) are HoneyHoney.

HoneyHoney is among the acts scheduled for this month's edition of Scenic City Roots.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the concert at 7 tonight, July 11, at Track 29, 1400 Market St.

The duo's music, described by Paste magazine as the common pop thread between alt country, spaghetti western soundtracks and swampy blues, has drawn comparisons to Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers.

Also performing will be traditional bluegrass stalwarts Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, Knoxville urban folk band Cereus Bright and Chattanooga "garage-grass" band Strung Like a Horse.

Guest host will be local musician Roger Alan Wade.

Tickets to the partially seated show are $10 general admission, $5 for students with ID.

The show is open to all ages, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
