University of Tennessee at Chattanooga defensive end Davis Tull and linebacker Wes Dothard are two of the 20 players on the Buck Buchanan Award preseason watch list, released today. The award goes to the top defensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision.
This is the first time that two Mocs have been on the watch list in the same season.
Dothard, a senior, is a two-time All-American making his second appearance on the watch list. Tull, a junior, was the Southern Conference defensive player of the year in 2012 and a unanimous All-American.
The SoCon has four players on the watch list. Joining Tull and Dothard are Wofford linebacker Alvin Scioneaux and Samford safety Jaquiski Tartt.
