UTC Mocs logoThe University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team's 2013-14 schedule, released Friday, includes a trio of games against Southeastern Conference teams, a Thanksgiving tournament in Hawaii and a stretch of eight consecutive games away from McKenzie Arena.
UTC, under new coach Jim Foster, opens its season on Nov. 8 against Alabama in the newly renovated Roundhouse. The Lady Mocs play at Tennessee on Nov. 14, going for two wins in a row against the Lady Vols, followed by home games against Belmont, UAB and Auburn.
The defending Southern Conference regular-season and tournament champions begin league play on Dec. 14 at UNC Greensboro, followed by a game at Elon on Dec. 16. The Lady Mocs resume SoCon play on Jan. 4 against Georgia Southern.
UTC heads to Honolulu after Thanksgiving for the Rainbow Wahine Invitational. That's followed by five straight road games before taking a break for Christmas.
The Lady Mocs return most of last season's squad that went 29-4, tying a school record for wins.
