An 18-year-old man shot at 454 Gillespie Road Friday around 7:30 p.m. has been identified by police.
Geonta Gaines was shot in his side and taken to a hospital for treatment of the nonlife-threatening injury, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
The suspects reportedly shot Gaines and fled the scene in a car, the release said.
