Locals in the Brainerd community packed Armando's, a popular burger joint, today in hopes of talking with Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke about their concerns and requests.

The lunch-time meeting named Burgers with Berke will become a monthly ritual where the mayor will pick a restaurant in each district in the city to visit, said city spokeswoman Lacie Stone.

During the hour lunch, locals talked to Berke's staff about concerns ranging from more city-wide support for the elderly to fighting crime to reaching out to the Hispanic population in the area.

"One of the things I learned in the Legislature was how important it is to keep in touch with your constituents whether its the problems that they have or the ideas they come up with that are key to our area ," Berke told the crowd.
