Former East Hamilton two-sport standout Cody Knox signed scholarship papers Tuesday to continue his basketball career at Bryan College, a NAIA Division II school in Dayton, Tenn.

Knox finished with 1,308 points, 754 rebounds, 252 assists, 164 steals, and leaves the program as the record holder in all four categories. He averaged 14.8 points as a senior.

"Cody was a wonderful player to coach," East Hamilton coach Michael Stone, a Bryan alum, said. "His toughness and will to compete made him a viable threat in all situations, but what really stands out in my mind is how appreciative and respectful he is. Even as a freshman he demonstrated these qualities, and as our relationship developed I grew certain that they were the result of his hard work and his parents influence in his life.

"I expect great things from him at Bryan College, and I am excited to send a player of his caliber to my alma mater."

Bah to TWC

Former Baylor standout OT Bah signed scholarship papers to return to the United States and continue his soccer career at Tennessee Wesleyan College, a NAIA Division II school in Athens, Tenn.

Bah, originally from Liberia who was a boarding student at Baylor was all-state and a second-team Best of Preps honoree in 2012, when the Red Raiders won the Division II-AA state championship. He returned home to finish his studies and graduate high school.

"Coach Lyons is getting a crafty, left footed player, that can run at players and be dangerous in the attacking third," Baylor coach Curtis Blair said. "I am very pleased that OT gets a chance to get a great education while also helping my alma mater in soccer. I know that Coach Lyons is a quality coach and will be able to take OT to the next level."
