Low Country shrimp boil benefits Lookout Mountain Conservancy - July 18

The Lookout Mountain Conservancy will host a "Hot Fun in the Summertime" Low Country shrimp boil from 6 to 10 tonight, July 18, at The Crash Pad hostel, 29 Johnson St.

The food will be prepared on-site by Miguel Morales from 1885 Grill in St. Elmo. Hot Damn and Three on a Trio will provide the entertainment

Tickets are $40 at the door. All proceeds benefit the conservancy, which helps protect Lookout Mountain's scenic, historic and ecological resources through conservation, advocacy, recreation and education.

Those who'd like to mix and mingle before the "Hot Fun" starts are invited to Shuptrine's Gold Leaf Designs, 2646 Broad St., from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Attendees may stop by for a beer or glass of wine and view the fine art.
